Feadship launches 87.87m Superyacht Fountainhead
The third Feadship XL superyacht Fountainhead has been reported launched by the prestigious Dutch shipyard, at the beginning of this week.
Motor Yacht Fountainhead is a 87.87m (288’29”) long vessel designed by De Voogt Naval Architects, whereas her interior design was created by Sinot Yacht Design. Fountainhead is run by four MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines at 3,650 HP (2,722 KW) each and has a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure.
Feadship Yachts is world renowned luxury yacht building company, known for a fine pedigree of good design and high quality of construction techniques. Their first XL series mega yacht Ocean Victory was launched in 2008 by the Feadship Koninklijke De Vries Makkum shipyard. Their second XL, the superyacht Musashi, was on the other hand launched in August 2010.
Both vessels, Musashi and the newly launched Fountainhead Yacht, are the largest yachts ever built by Feadship, to date. This however, is soon to be changed, as there are two larger yachts currently under construction at this respected shipyard. One of them is the 99-metre XL 1004 Yacht and the second being a 101.50 metre superyacht by Royal Van Lent.
