Vicem Yachts reorganizes Production to Improve Efficiency
The Turkish shipyard Vicem Yachts, leader in the construction of completely custom hand crafted down east style lobster boats and innovative and prestigious open and mega-yachts, continues its march towards excellence concentrating all production in their Antalya facilities on the Turkish south-east Mediterranean coast.
This move is part of the new Vicem Yachts three year industrial plan started at the end of 2009.
The the launch of the Vulcan Line and more recently of the Vanguard Line – Vicem’s third line of Open yachts – characterize the fundamental stages of the plan. Together with the Vintage Line – the yard’s core business – all three Lines will be built in Vicem’s two Antalya facilities with a total of 30,000 m2 of production area.
In this moment of extreme difficulty for the international nautical sector, Vicem is concentrating its production in Antalya for many reasons: the constant search for increasing overall production efficiency, the excellent quality/cost ratio of local labor, a favorable fiscal environment, direct access to the sea and the logistic advantage of having entire production “under one roof”.
