Aykut KUSKONMAZ , Sales & Marketing Manager at RMK Marine, discuss new concepts based on fast displacement hulls of 46 meters

RMK Marine was established in Halic in 1974 and was only constructing boats in steel, aluminium and GRP. Nowadays, the institution started to build up a robust reputation in international markets, by building luxury motor yachts. In 1984, RMK Marine was moved to Tuzla Bay, on the Marmara Sea, 45 km. away from the city centre of Istanbul. RMK Marine joined to the Koç Holdings in June 1997.

Both in national and international markets, RMK Marine provides turn-key solutions in design, construction, project management, maintenance, refit and repair of Super Yachts, Military and Merchant Ships. The RMK shipyard has one of the longest slipways in the district of Tuzla and builds ships that are up to 30,000 DWT capacities. RMK Marine has the capacity to build and launch many vessels with different tonnages at once. The company generally exports its’ products. The main customers are; Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland, England, the United States of America, France, Spain and Italy.

RMK Marine has produced some successful projects in the field of super yacht building and carries this prestige into similar projects in the future. Oyster Marine, o professional yacht builder of long distance sailing yachts and international world renowned Dubois Design, selected RMK Marine as the boatbuilder for a range of newly designed super yachts. This cooperation is an important step for the development of the Turkish yacht sector. In accordance with the contract signed in 2007 the 100ft and 125ft yachts which will be built for Oyster Marine will be delivered during 2010.
