Delta Experience

Designing and building a Delta yacht is a unique experience guaranteed to stimulate the senses, stir the emotions, and satisfy the imagination. The Delta experience begins with a site tour. Prospective clients are invited to explore the Delta facilities, talk with the engineers, craftsmen, and other staff, become familiar with our processes and capabilities, and examine yachts currently under construction.

Once a commitment is made to build, the journey of defining and realizing the shared vision begins. Client representatives are encouraged to be intimately involved throughout. Selecting the perfect hues and materials. Perusing the extensive veneer collection. Working with engineers to ensure that bridge controls are designed to a Captain’s preferences. Delta Story

Shaped by a passion for uncompromising quality and ideals rooted in family values, the Jones Family founded Delta in the early 1960s. Delta began making high-speed pleasure boats, and then the finest charter and commercial fishing boats on the market. From the very beginning, Delta meant top of the line.

Located on the Duwamish River in Seattle, Washington, Delta became known as a trusted builder of seaworthy fishing vessels sturdy enough to brave the harsh waters of Alaska and the Bering Sea. It quickly became an industry leader, earning recognition for durable construction, reliable mechanical systems, and practical maintenance. These qualities – and more than 800 delivered vessels – gave Delta a solid foundation for its subsequent development.

In the 1980s, Delta shifted its focus and embarked on the demanding mission it has since accomplished: to build the world’s finest luxury yachts. Since 1990, Delta’s new construction has consisted exclusively of mega yachts of highest distinction. Delta’s innovative design, advanced technology, dedicated, seasoned staff, and commitment to client satisfaction have now made Delta an industry leader in the luxury yacht market. Throughout the years Delta has received top awards in several categories, including “Best Motor Yacht Interior” and “Highest Technical Achievement” at the annual ShowBoats Rendezvous in Monaco.

Facilities

Delta’s comprehensive facilities and equipment reflect an absolute commitment to excellence. Covering more than 220,000 square feet on 18 acres, Delta’s enclosed, climate-controlled facilities house the full range of departments needed to create the world’s finest yachts.

In one location, all aspects of the process dovetail seamlessly. Delta’s cabinet shop produces everything from specialized veneer pressing and vacuum molding to high-end pre-finished furniture. Machine and metal departments manufacture and polish custom castings and hardware with precision detail. The large paint shop, equipped with the finest dust-free ventilation systems, ensures the smoothest finish. On-site Owner representatives’ offices facilitate a fruitful partnership between Owner and builder. The teamwork required to build a yacht to Delta’s standards and the client’s expectations demand nothing less.
